Vintage Lira Accordion Ladies Piano Accordian Deco Era International Italy

Vintage Deco Lira Ladies Piano Accordion from International of Italy. Deco era with beautiful styling so prominent in that time period. Has a shiny black plastic case with silver tone accents. The piano side has 24 white keys (aged to a soft yellow now) and 17 black keys. The bass side has 117 tiny black buttons with two topped in rhinestones (probably to identify middle C.) There is a circular area above the keyboard with four button - maybe to change chords.  They each move but since I can't play any type instrument,  I couldn't check it. A friend did play "In the Sweet Bye and Bye." The sound was deep and rich. The bellows have no leaks and extend fully and easily. There is a wheel to release them quickly and easily. There are a couple of rusty spots on one pleat about the size of a quarter. I did not try to clean them. It has silver metal chains on each side that secure the bellows when not in use. They snap on and off without problem. The leather straps are in very good condition considering the age of the instrument.  There is some leather that has rubbed off the pleated edges on the botton where the accordion sits on it's base. The accordian measures approximately 18" deep from front to back, 17" wide and 8" high. It has the original case. Again, reminiscent of the era, the case is formed from wood and cardboard and covered in a decorative tweed wallpaper. Rubber and plastics later used in cases was diverted to munitions factories in WWI and WWII. The latches are rusty but intact and work. The key is missing. There is an area along the top front where the wallpaper covering has broken along the crease. There are other areas of wear which would be expected. The handle is a hard navy blue plastic and is in good shape. Likewise, the interior of red plush velvet is in good  condition with no rips or unexpected stains. It does have a musty odor from decades of sitting closed and unused. The case is 20" wide x 19" long x 9" high. This is being sold as is in the set.
