Description
Scarce 1954/1955 Kaiser Manhattan promotional model bank by Banthrico. Beautifully scaled and detailed model which is as unusual as the actual 1954/1955 Kaiser automobile. There were only 8817 Kaiser cars made in 1954 and with the exact same exterior (body and trim),the 1955 Kaiser had a mere 1238 produced. The difference in 1954 and 1955 Kaiser cars was inside (the dash and steering wheel were different). Interestingly, the Kaiser Corporation later made this exact same car in their Argentina plant from 1956 to 1962 and renamed it the "Carabela" for sales in South America. This 1/25 scale (8" x 3") promo model was designed as a "new concept" Banthrico model with the typical pot metal body shell but with separate pot metal front (headlights, grill and bumper) and rear (taillights and bumper) pieces. It also has detailed pot metal Kaiser "K" wheel covers.Production of this model was limited to 96 with only an estimated 35-40 ever painted and assembled. The project was discontinued due to the high amount of time and labor required to produce the model. This nice model has always been adult owned with no playwear. There has never been any other 1/25 scale model of a 1954/1955 Kaiser made in plastic promo or model kit form so DON'T MISS OUT! Please understand that all items are sold as-is,not returnable. Thank you for bidding/buying!
