Rare White 1963 Imperial Hardtop by Chrysler AMT Promo Car. 63 Mopar Promotional

This is an ultra rare all original 1963 Imperial hardtop 1:25th scale promo car made by AMT. These annual promotional cars were given away at Chrysler Imperial dealerships to potential customers who would stop in to the dealer only from the fall of 1962 through the summer of 1963 to test drive or hopefully buy the new Imperial. Others were mailed by Chrysler to owners of 1962 Imperials to show them what the new ones looked like. Still others were sold at hobby shops and toy stores during this time period. This coaster version car has no friction motor so it was most likely not sold in a store. By 1963 AMT was making promos out of the newer cycolac plastic that did not warp. These low production promo cars are extremely rare in any color. The entire car is molded in white. The color matches "Ivory" which was available on the real cars.
This car is in great very very lightly used or even unused condition. The very shiny scratch free finish on the body is still nice. It remains completely unaffected by light, dust or play wear. The white fade free body color is consistent everywhere. The only noticeable blemishes anywhere are the missing hood ornament and one missing taillight. Other than that, there are no noticeable blemishes anywhere on the car. No scratches, marks, or cracks anywhere. The white color and the shine are consistent throughout the whole car. All windshield and vent posts are complete, intact and straight. The body color is consistent everywhere.
The shiny original chrome shows no bleed through anywhere.
The shiny clear glass is nearly perfect. The matching white interior is still complete and intact. The glass and interior have never been out of the car. The melted white washers holding them to the body are no still intact. The white matching chassis is also still nice. All four soft vinyl whitewall tires roll freely and straight on rust free axles.
The original box is not included.
This rare one year only promo car has
never been reissued.

car in this great condition is a must for any Chrysler, Imperial, or 1:25th / 1:24th car fan / collector who seeks out the rarest and best available. You will not see a nicer one if you can find one at all.
Shipping will be via whichever USPS rate makes the most sense given my attempt to limit the cost while delivering the item in a safe and timely manner (Most likely first class). Insurance is required for all shipments of 0 or more. The buyer will be responsible for the actual cost of such insurance. All sales outside the lower 48 states are mailed and will include insurance. Bidders outside the lower 48 states should confirm the shipping cost from me prior to bidding. I will happily combine shipping costs on multiple items sent to the same location. Local pick up in Bolingbrook, Illinois is free.
