This FULLY DATED 1715 FLEET piece from the Famed Shipwreck “1715 FLEET” is about as good as it gets for Treasure Lovers! Literally FULL DATED (ALL 4 Digits!). ADD to that , 2 COA’s by the man himself, the Godfather of the “1715 FLEET” Kipp Wagner, HAND SIGNED!!!
Also additional COA from other founding father of the Real Eight “Harry Cannon!” Of course 99% of the time if there’s ever a portion of the date struck and still showing, it’s sliding off the Edge of the coin, but NOT this piece! No, no, there’s even Salvage Legend above the date and the 4 Digit DATE is nicely nestled inside of the Inner and outer Dots circumference. There’s even part of the Shield and the Mint (oM) Assayer not showing. The Reverse shows approx. 80% of the CROSS and LIONS & CASTLES (even part of the Tressure is clearly visible).
I love the Sediment still attached and that these Original Salvagers left the coin Original. Salvaged in the 1960’s (most likely in the 1963 salvage season). Kipp Passed away in 1972 and this piece was almost certainly his HOLY GRAIL piece that he owned! The man who really started it All and who wrote the book “Pieces of Eight.” Truly a TROPHY COB COIN from the man who started it all! (Today can be your Day!).1
