This beautiful map is lithographed in full color and opens to a generous 71 x 107 cm [28" x 42"].
It was prepared by the National Geographic Society, noted for its highly detailed and attractive cartography, in cooperation with the California Institute of Technology and the Palmoar Observatory.
It is loaded with information on our moon, the planets in our solar system, and the stars and constellations in distant galaxies.
On the reverse side are monthly star charts for the northern and southern hemispheres, designed by Dr. Donald H. Menzel of the Harvard College Observatory.
This map was published in December 1957 and would be a wonderful reference aid to your study of the heavens.
