Description
Pair of authentic, 19th century large, solid brass, seven branches Menorahs - the most recognizable symbol of Judaism.
This magnificent pair of Menorahs were made in the second half of the 19th century in Poland. Each Menorah is composed of a multi baluster stem rising from a round base, fitted with six scrolling branches, topped by an urn form of candle holders and drip pans, with matching central candle-holder.
Each part of the Menorah is turned on a primitive lathe; therefore, each piece is not the same, including the baluster stem and turned rings and the drip pans, which are out of the center. Also, the thread on each screw is hand-rolled by primitive tools, so each screws thread is slightly different, which is visible proof that candelabras are original antiques and not reproductions made in the 20th century like most of the Polish brass menorah and other Polish brass Judaica on the market.
It is almost impossible to find a matching pair of antique menorahs.
Condition: In its original condition showing the age and usage. Overall condition is very good, no damage or repairs. All parts can be disassembled and assembled back easily.
