1980 Ford Thunderbird rolling body
This was originally a 4.2L small block V8 car with a C4 automatic transmission. The motor and transmission are gone. Everything engine related, from the radiator to the drive shaft, is gone.
This was a running driving vehicle until January 2016. All the systems were functional at that time, except the clock didn't work, and the rear window defogger indicator light only stayed on, while the momentary switch was held in the on position..
The miles showing are 84,160. The explanation for the miles on the car is, that it was stored for many years during an estate settlement, and it wasn't driven. There is no documentation to verify the miles.
The worst rust on the outside body, is a spot behind the left front wheel, at the edge of the wheel well. There is some rust scale on the driver's door bottom, the front of the driver's floor pan, and the spare tire well/driver's side trunk drop. The trunk drop looks the weakest of the underside rust found.
The carpet under the driver's floor mat is torn away. The radio, horn, front fender side marker trims, and spare tire parts are missing. The hood emblem is broken off.
The dark blue paint is faded away, and there is surface rust on the top body panels.
The vinyl top is intact, and it is dry or weather checked. The top of the driver's quarter panel has a small dent at the top of it. The left rear quarter panel and left door were repainted at some time. They have clear coat peeling at the top of the panels. The tires are dry rotted and are in poor condition.
