1965 Rambler American 2 dr hardtop 5.0 Ford HO project gasser drag street rod

Description

1965 Rambler American project car. Someone started making a street strip racecar by transplanting a 5.0 fuel injected Ford engine.  Supposed to be a Mustang HO engine but I am not sure of that.  Engine is bolted in place. Previous owner started engine for me when I took it in trade, I have never figured out the right combination of crossed wires to make it fire and have fuel to start. The wiring looks like a spaghetti nightmare, two ignition switches and many loose wires. Manual shift trans. I have not confirmed if it is 4 speed or 5 speed.  Body is quite solid with some lower quarter patches. Floors and frame rails are very good. Dash is out but inside car.  Parts I know are missing are the rear seat cushions, both rear quarter glasses and regulators.  I am sure that other pieces will need to be purchased depending how far someone wants to take it. Still has Rambler rear axle.  Located in Gardiner Maine 04345
