1939 Chevy Coupe - '50s era stock car:
CONVERTIBLE NEXT TO THIS IS LONG, LONG GONE
As of May 2013 I have a second coupe shell with good roof and quarter panel to use to patch this car back together.  One photo is included with the listing.
This was built in the '50s to run Little Falls and possibly other defunct tracks in the Mohawk Valley of New York.  It has a fairly decent cage for the time.  Appears to have run Chevy V8, still has a 55-57 open drive 3 speed in it.  Factory leaf springs front and rear with stock beam axle up front, dual shocks on all 4 wheels, large cannister device under cowl I have yet to ID (Possibly the stock vaccuum shift tank?), steering replaced with a column from another car (Caddy?  Truck?).  Doors do open.  I added the hood to it, it's stock and uncut but a tad scroungy.  No motor or rearend in the car.  Dash is mostly complete with old racer wiring and switches.  This car even ran with the taillights intact and it still has one good one on the left side.  Has cowl and serial tags intact also.
Now the bad - they tried to move this with a loader in February, bending the right rear badly and causing some frame damage.  It had some heavy stuff set on top of it for years, causing the roof skin to rot out.   So when I got the chance I picked up another super rough coupe which can donate the roof and entire right quarter panel to this car.  Note the added photo.  I also have another taillight for it.
I would be willing to include a Chevy S10 frame with this car, which is legal in some clubs now that they're 20 years old, and would allow the transfer of cage, body, etc. to a frame that it should be easy to install a motor in and add safety hubs and so forth.
Pricing note: Old Cars Report (Price Guide) Magazine notes #6 condition (parts car) value at 20 and #5 condition (in need of total restoration) at 60.  Car is somewhat rough but very few stock cars of this era were saved, certainly enough there to restore as a stock car, so there you have it.
WE ARE NOT A SALVAGE YARD - WE DO NOT PART OUT CARS
Terms of sale: All cars are sold AS-IS. These are old cars and many have rust issues, they can have problems which are not apparent without a more detailed inspection and as such we may not be aware of the issues. Any prospective buyer is welcomed to make an appointment to come inspect a car in person prior to buying. Nonrefundable deposit of 10% or 0 whichever is greater due within 7 days. Must be paid in full or arrangements made within 14 days. 30 days storage is included to give you plenty of time to arrange to get the vehicle. We're flexible with weather concerns particularly in the winter; storage on paid cars can be arranged in advance for per month, but if a buyer can't be contacted or is unable to make suitable arrangements, per day storage fees will be applied against the amount that's been paid on the car. We're not unreasonable, but we do need to run this as a proper business.
How to pay: Payment in person, or you can have our postman stand in for you.  We do not accept Paypal for items that are not shipped via a trackable method (USPS, FedEx, UPS) or for large amounts.  Any questions, let us know.
WE ARE NOT A SALVAGE YARD - WE DO NOT PART OUT VEHICLES
eBay forces me to include this redundant and confusing statement in this listing - their words, not mine: “This vehicle is being sold for parts only and is not operational or street legal. Therefore, upon purchase, it will need to be either towed or trailered. eBay encourages its members to learn about their state laws governing vehicle sales prior to the sale or purchase of a vehicle.”
